The idea arrived sideways. While forecasting how AI would disrupt entire industries, Nils started seeing his wife's work in a new light. Her firm builds bespoke digital solutions for companies: cleaning and analyzing years of historical data, then training AI on that data until it understands the nuance of a business and drives real efficiency and performance.

The realization followed quickly. Virtually every organization has empirical data it can use to assess and improve how it performs. Tactical military units have none.

He had already run into it himself. In his last year in the Army, leading an initiative that needed quantitative analysis, he found that gathering data on fitness, training, and injuries was difficult and unreliable. There was no infrastructure for it, and no expectation that anyone would try.

That is the gap. Not a shortage of intelligence or of will, but the absence of any expectation that a unit could be understood quantitatively at all.

So Six Tango is building the data layer that delivers relevant insights to the people who need them most. The first product is an AI-powered mission planning platform for front-line units, because planning is where the data starts. From there: training management, physical performance, and equipment readiness, all overlaid on the same operational snapshot.
